Community Builder & Tech Inclusion Advocate

Omotola Eunice Omotayo is an internationally recognized Community Builder and Tech Inclusion Advocate, with significant experience in building diverse and vibrant communities in the tech ecosystem. Originally from Nigeria, she currently lives in the UK, where she has been recognized by the Home Office as a Global Talent.

Through her work with Outreachy and other international initiatives, she supports contributors worldwide, while as founder of Elegance Media, she empowers creators and organizations through storytelling, digital skills, and community development.

At FOSSCOMM 2025, her keynote will focus on practical strategies for creating sustainable, welcoming, and diverse open source communities, offering inspiration and tools for contributors at every stage of their journey.

Alexandre Zapolsky

Alexandre Zapolsky

Alexandre Zapolsky is one of the most prominent advocates for open source software in Europe and the founder of LINAGORA, one of France’s leading companies in free and open source software development.

He has played a pivotal role in promoting the principles of digital independence and technological sovereignty through open source-based solutions. With many years of experience collaborating with public and private institutions, he actively supports the adoption of free software in education, public administration, and industry.

His participation in FOSSCOMM 2025 strengthens our message of freedom, transparency, and sovereignty in technology through the power of open source.

Kyriakos Kritikos

Lecturer at the ICSD, University of the Aegean

Kyriakos Kritikos is a member of the academic community with specialization in Computer Science and many years of experience in research and teaching in Greece and abroad.

He has completed doctoral and postdoctoral studies at leading universities and research centers in Crete, Milan, Pisa and Luxembourg, while his research interests focus on areas such as software engineering, cloud computing applications and security, service modeling, SecDevOps and risk assessment.

With extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, he has taught courses ranging from programming to software technologies and information systems security. At the same time, he actively participates in coordinating and examination committees, contributing to the strategic development and academic evaluation of departments and study programs.

Its participation in FOSSCOMM 2025 highlights its role in promoting innovation, security and excellence in the field of IT and modern technologies.

FOSSCOMM (Free and Open Source Software Communities Meeting) is an annual pan-Hellenic conference of free and open source communities. It is aimed at programmers, students and any interested person, regardless of background. Communities, groups of programmers and project contributors participate, with topics ranging from technical issues and workshops, to translations, legal and open source policies. Participation is free and open to everyone. The organizing committee of FOSSCOMM 2025 invites communities and interested individuals to submit a proposal for a talk or workshop at the conference taking place on October 11–12, 2025.The main language of the conference is Greek, but proposals in English are also accepted.
